Belushi Speed Ball pay tribute to South Park in latest single
Louisville thrash metal maniacs BELUSHI SPEED BALL are back with another absurdly unhinged anthem from their upcoming album, Toxic Waste Was Everywhere In The ’80s. The band unleashed new single and video, “I’m Not Your Buddy, Guy” — a crossover tribute to the greatest cartoon ever created, South Park.
Arriving ahead of the band’s appearance at Milwaukee Metal Fest and the June 5th release of Toxic Waste Was Everywhere In The ’80s, “I’m Not Your Buddy, Guy” delivers razorwire riffs, chaotic humor, and enough South Park references to make Chef blush. The accompanying music video finds the band fully transformed into iconic South Park characters while introducing BELUSHI SPEED BALL’s newest live weapon, third guitarist Nathan Rogers, who will officially join the chaos on stage at Milwaukee Metal Fest. The video also features the legendary Butters Snacky Bear drum set because, naturally, subtlety was never an option.
Commenting on the new single, vocalist Vinny Castellano states:
“We wanted to pay all the respect and admiration to a cartoon that has completely shaped our childhood, South Park. We done did this, by making a new single. But, it was about that time that we noticed our newest single, was actually eight stories tall and was a crustacean from the Protozoic era. And you know what that single said? It said, ‘I need about three fifty.’ We done told that damn single it ain’t our buddy, guy!”

The band’s latest collection of crossover thrash nonsense features artwork by Andrei Bouzikov and continues BELUSHI SPEED BALL’s long-running tradition of turning nostalgia, chaos, and pit-starting riffs into a full-contact theatrical experience. From N64 album releases and Furby formats to Mad Max-style mobile performances and Nerf gun warfare, BELUSHI SPEED BALL remain one of underground metal’s most unpredictable acts.
Fans can catch BELUSHI SPEED BALL live at Milwaukee Metal Fest on June 6th.
