Canadian rockers The Mighty One releases new single ‘Shattered’

Classic Rock, Hard Rock

Brace yourselves, rock warriors: Canadian hard rock titans The Mighty One are back with a vengeance, dropping their blistering new single “SHATTERED” like a meteor strike on the crumbling empire of illusion. After a five-year hiatus since their award-sweeping opus Torch Of Rock And Roll – which saw the epic power ballad “Kickin’ Stones” hailed in Billboard Magazine Argentina and racking up Songwriter of the Year, Album of the Year, and Band of the Year at the 2023 International Singer-Songwriter Awards – the band returns with a track that’s equal parts sonic demolition derby and spiritual uprising.

Fresh off a sold-out 2025 Colombian tour supporting Spanish metal gods Obús, culminating in a headbanging frenzy in Bogotá, The Mighty One channels that raw, unfiltered energy into “SHATTERED.” This isn’t just a song; it’s a full-throttle manifesto against the matrix of modern madness. Frontman Tim Steinruck – the band’s visionary founder since 2007 – unleashes a torrent of riffs and roars that dismantle the AI overlords, societal breakdowns, political puppet shows, and the endless stream of corporate media BS. But amid the wreckage? A triumphant call to reclaim our godlike essence: true human power, freedom, and immortality. Steinruck snarls lines that hit like a gut-punch from the gods:

“Live like we never will die
Live like we’re kings of the sky
Always eternal
Power internal
We fly”

And the hook that’ll have you pumping your fist: “Old rules are shattered / Now all that matters is right here, and now.” It’s rebellious surrender at its finest. Embracing the shatter as the path to eternal badassery.

Recorded and produced by Steinruck himself, with mixing and mastering by Dave Padden (ex Annihilator), “SHATTERED” features the band’s powerhouse 2026 lineup:

Keyboards: James Meyer
Lead Guitar: Randy Robertson
Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar: Tim Steinruck
Bass: Chris Campbell
Drums: Bob Wagner

This single marks the latest chapter in The Mighty One’s epic saga. From Tim working with KISS’ Paul Stanley in the early years to collaborating with Devin Townsend on the debut, to AC/DC producer Mike Fraser mixing the Top 10 radio smash “Reprieved” (which scored major syncs with NHL, NASCAR, MTV, Discovery, and A&E on the 2012 album SHIFT), to the Spanish version “Absuelto” dominating Colombian airwaves in 2017 on Radionica National Radio, and signing with German label S.A.O.L./CMM for Torch Of Rock And Roll – Steinruck’s project has always been about raw power and real talk.

The accompanying music video is a visual onslaught, splicing gritty pre-tour rehearsals with explosive live footage from the Bogotá blowout. Directed and edited by Sekfilms, it captures the band’s defiant awakening, shattering chains and soaring into the infinite. Check it out now:

As a life coach, speaker, and mental health advocate (delivering a powerful presentation on suicide prevention to 350 faculty and staff at the University of Quindío during the tour), he infuses his music with purpose that cuts deeper than distortion.

“SHATTERED” is out now, streaming on all platforms and ready to crank your speakers to 11. With a highly anticipated return tour to South America on the horizon, The Mighty One isn’t just playing rock – they’re igniting a revolution.

The illusion is over. The real rock apocalypse has begun.
#ShatterTheSystem

Founded as Tim Steinruck’s solo vision in 2007, The Mighty One blends explosive modern classic rock with unflinching messages of empowerment and awakening. From North American radio hits to South American fan fervor, they’re the torchbearers for hard rock with heart and heft.
