Cornoctuan, a band that tells about the eco-catastrophe and mass extinction of species with the heaviness of doom metal, released their first single from their debut album “Endangered” that is to be released in the Autumn of 2020. The ballad-like single “Lullaby for the Bees” is already familiar to the Oulu audience from the band’s performances, and now the wider public can hear it for the first time. The band’s own fantastic mythology shows really well in this songs’ lyrics, with which the band tells about the accelerating destruction of the environment and the human contribution to it.

Lullaby for the bees” is available on all major streaming services (e.g. Spotify, Deezer, Youtube, Apple Music). The band’s Spotify pages can be found at the following link:

Singer-songwriter Jenna Eronen about the song:

This is the lightest song from the album, but the words and wistful atmosphere aptly reflect the deepest essence of the story. It is also one of the first songs composed for the band.

The song may be light but its message is heavy. It feels like we have a lot to say, and I hope this song evokes emotions and the message gets ingrained in people’s minds. The themes of the song and the album are becoming more and more current all the time.
