Dead Things is a metalcore band that hails out of Los Angeles, CA. They have a penchant for writing dramatic tunes with a flair for horror. The band is the brainchild of vocalist Derek Dillon, who co-owns Kleaver Klothing with Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills. Dead Things have a unique innate competency to ingeniously present music in a plethora of styles, all while maintaining a consistent brand, one of the factors that make this band one to keep an eye out for. With killer instincts and plenty of energy to spare, Dead Things seeks to bring their flavor of metal to the masses and is well on their way to inspiring a whole new generation of audiences with exciting yet profound creations.

Mouth Sewn Shut” is the third single from horror-infused metalcore band Dead Things. Packed with catchy hooks and breakdowns, fans of Motionless In White and Ice Nine Kills will eat this up. The single premiered on Sirius XM’s Octane channel on March 10th!

Recording the track was a collaborative process. Involved in the process was Randy Pasqueralla of Pasqueralla Recordings over in New York as well as Dan Sugarman of Ice Nine Kills.

When speaking about their song Eric Wexler (Guitar/Vocals) said

That was some of the most fun I’ve ever had writing a song. We had the goal of breaking away from common metal tropes, but still wanted to keep to the traditions that made us gravitate to the genre since we were young. “Mouth Sewn Shut” is a melodic and high-octane journey seething with disparate undertones.

Fans can expect new singles dropping every month for the remainder of 2022. The band will also be sprinkling in a few more music videos with plans to begin touring in the fall of this year. The band has been playing around with the idea of releasing a full-length record soon!
