The release is more than just a cover – it’s a dream collab. With Frank Zummo (Sum 41 drummer, currently playing with Electric Callboy) behind the kit, the crossover becomes a full-circle moment of festival-dominating rock.

The band comments on the new single:

Sum 41 has been with us since our youth, and Still Waiting was one of those songs we grew up with. When Frank Zummo helped us out at the festivals in Australia, we spontaneously played the song live for the first time. When it became clear that Frank would be accompanying us on drums at the European festivals, the idea was born: we would go into the studio with him and record the song our way. It’s just crazy to work with someone whose band we used to celebrate so much. We hope you celebrate the song as much as we do!”

The video for “Still Waiting” is pure sweat and adrenaline, captured across multiple festivals this summer – a live celebration of the band’s unique connection with their audience.

Electric Callboy has become one of the most explosive forces in modern heavy music. Their breakthrough single “Hypa Hypa” (June 2020) — now gold-certified — marked a new era for the band, blending metalcore, electronic beats, and tongue-in-cheek humor into a style all their own. The song sparked a global fan movement so strong that more than 100,000 supporters even petitioned for their Eurovision 2022 participation.

2022 turned into a landmark year: the Hypa Hypa European Tour sold out across the continent, while their album TEKKNO stormed to #1 in the German album charts. Momentum only grew from there. In 2023, the band sold out nearly their entire world tour and a second edition of their very own Escalation Fest.

The singles kept breaking records: “Everytime We Touch” now boasts over 62 million streams and 21 million YouTube views, while “We Got The Moves” went viral with more than 158 million streams. Their collaboration “RATATATA” with Japanese kawaii-metal icons BABYMETAL became an instant international hit — surpassing now 100 million streams and nearly 50 million video views, hitting #1 on YouTube’s global trending charts, entering the Viral Top 50 in over 40 countries, and generating more than 1 million daily streams at its peak.

In 2025, Electric Callboy keep raising the stakes. January saw the release of “Elevator Operator”, a funky, EDM-fueled anthem with bone-shaking breakdowns and a hilarious video starring actor Uke Bosse as the unhinged operator. In May, they followed up with “Revery”, a darker, high-octane track featuring hard-hitting riffs, thought-provoking lyrics, and one of the band’s most infectious sing-along choruses to date.

With multiple sold-out arenas on their upcoming 2025/2026 headline tour, Electric Callboy have cemented their reputation as one of the most unpredictable, entertaining, and unmissable live acts in the world.
