Emerging goth duo ghostbells unveil new single ‘Immortal Lovers’

EBM, Gothic, House, New Wave

Having gained a substantial interest and growth already with their debut single “Darkness Saves”, US-based duo ghostbells released their 5th single “Immortal Lovers“, a heavy, slow-burning yet modern goth anthem that dives headfirst into the seductive pull of addiction, obsession, and the dark cycles we can’t escape.

Blending 80s new wave melodies, 90s EBM grit, and witch house textures with modern production and ghostly, reverberating vocals, “Immortal Lovers” is a visceral exploration of the fine line between self-preservation and self-destruction, where love, darkness, and compulsion become indistinguishable.

“‘Immortal Lovers’ is about being trapped in the cycle of what keeps you alive and what destroys you,” the band explains. “It’s that pull between survival and collapse – both coming from the same place. We wanted the song to feel heavy, hypnotic, and unrelenting – like the feeling of repeating the same patterns, chasing the same feeling, even when it hurts.”

Accompanied by a new music video, ghostbells elevate their signature aesthetic once more, blending gothy retro visuals with modern noir cinematography. The release arrives just ahead of a busy 2026 live schedule, which includes confirmed appearances at Infest UK, Out Of Line Weekender Berlin, and a UK tour with Ashbury Heights.

ghostbells is a glowing shadow in the darkwave underground, a duo known for brooding soundscapes, icy synths, driving basslines, and emotionally raw lyrics. With one foot in the past and one in the spectral future, their music speaks to fans of all corners of dark romantic electronics.

Their unique fusion of new wave, EBM, post-punk, and ethereal synth draws listeners into a world of neon melancholy and beautifully distorted intimacy, the kind of music that belongs on the dancefloor at midnight and in your headphones at 4 a.m.

“Immortal Lovers” is out now on all platforms:

The duo – Jessica Perry (vocals, guitar, bass, synth) and Jim Finley (producer, vocals, bass, guitar, synth) – creates music that’s equal parts ethereal and danceable, nostalgic and futuristic. Join their rise to the top of the goth and alternative scene!
