Epic metallers Dragonborn unleash ‘Revenge Of Pagan Swords’

Heavy Metal

In May Imperative PR announced a new alliance with the epic medieval metal band, Dragonborn – a band who have created an entire fantasy world as a backdrop to their incredible music, a band who have recruited the very best in international metal talent to bring their dreams to life. Now Imperative PR and Dragonborn bring you a first taste of the magic that awaits you within the world of Valdatron…the majestic ‘Revenge Of Pagan Swords‘ has been released in lyric video form – steeped in honour, blood and glory!

Dragonborn guitarist Ekrem Kani has prepared a detailed introduction to the song, an oration of welcome to Valdatron and its war-torn history and to the metallic might of Dragonborn!

“‘Revenge Of Pagan Swords’ ignites Dragonborn’s saga with devastating force, the war cry of King Valderion, last of the Ironblooded. Its lyrics deliver not an invitation to reflect, but a decree to destroy: a rebellion against the spiritual erosion and false salvation that plague the ancient world. From the very first strike, the song draws blood. The opening riff crashes like the unsheathing of a blade – a sonic flash of steel that signals the beginning of war. Rhythm guitars and twin pedal interplay shape a march of militant precision and raw defiance. Following the first vocal assault, two key melodic lines emerge: The first – cold and melancholic – mourns the loss of a once-proud world. The second – triumphant and soaring – speaks of victory, blades raised to the sky, and the flame of return. This duality resurfaces in the second half with renewed power, amplifying both memory and rage. Melody and violence become inseparable – like the blade and its echo. Beneath the vocals, a chilling orchestral texture rises – echoing the cries of ancient ritual gatherings. These spectral sounds pierce through the chaos with otherworldly clarity, adding a mystical and ominous sharpness to the composition. Symphonic layers rise like war choirs, guitars crash like iron, and drums strike with the weight of prophecy. This is not merely a song. It is the awakening of Valdatron. The first battle cry of a people reborn in fire and frost.”

Experience ‘Revenge Of Pagan Swords‘ now, at the brand new Dragonborn Youtube channel:

‘Revenge Of Pagan Swords‘ is taken from the forthcoming first Dragonborn album, Riddle Of Steel Beyond Ultima Thule‘, an album that features the thunderous power of drummer Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Six Feet Under etc) and the atmospheric wizardy of keyboard player Jonny Maudling (Bal Sagoth, My Dying Bride, Keep Of Kalessin etc).

This is just the beginning…raise your swords and prepare for war!
