Helsinki based project Vestal Climax shares the official video for ‘Crucifixion’
Helsinki gloaming sentinel VESTAL CLIMAX has released its first music video for the song “Crucifixion”. The video was shot by Heidi Strengell and edited by Tekla Valy, who has done videos for Hooded Menace, Grave Pleasures, and Maggot Heart.
Formed in 2023, VESTAL CLIMAX self-identifies as “post-death,” given its members having a collective 100-plus years of experience playing in death/black/doom metal bands such as Misery Index, Dying Fetus, Waste of Space Orchestra, Dark Buddha Rising, Convocation, Capharnaum, and Profanatica. Inspired by the post-punk and death rock movements of the 80s, VESTAL CLIMAX has seamlessly translated its members’ time in the grave to fresh realms of darkness.
Debut EP “Biblical Proportions” was produced, engineered & mixed by Olli Nokkala, mastered by Arthur Rizk (Blood Incantation, King Diamond, Power Trip, Unto Others), and self-released on CD via The Seminary on 28 November, 2025. It is available on all streaming platforms.
VESTAL CLIMAX made its live debut on 10 April at Tallinn Music Week 2026 as part of the Blow Up showcase at Paavli Kultuurivabrik, and will appear at Sonic Rites Festival at Ääniwalli in Helsinki on 23 May.

VESTAL CLIMAX is:
Marlotta – vocals
Ryan Adams – guitar
Jason Netherton – bass
Gustaf Svennungsson – drums
