Holy Wars unveil haunting new single ‘Metamorphosis’

Hard Rock, Industrial Rock

Los Angeles-based hard rock outfit Holy Wars return with the haunting new single “Metamorphosis” — an industrial rock opus that fuses the raw, mechanical intensity of Nine Inch Nails and HEALTH with the soaring, emotive vocals reminiscent of Evanescence.

Written in the aftermath of the devastating loss of vocalist Kat Leon’s parents and sister “Metamorphosis” is more than just a song — it’s a cathartic floodgate of emotion. At its core, it captures a state of forced transformation — the painful surrender that happens when one life dies to make space for another. The track traverses a spectrum of emotions: grief, sorrow, and guilt, but also the fragile spark of hope for renewal.

““Metamorphosis” is about bringing closure to the shadow self and surrendering” says Leon. “It’s about allowing yourself to heal so the light can come in.”

With pulsing rhythms, distorted textures, and soaring choruses, “Metamorphosis” stands as both a sonic evolution for Holy Wars and a powerful statement of resilience. The track builds on the band’s reputation for blending visceral emotion with unflinching intensity, cementing them as one of the most compelling and fearless rock acts today.

With the arrival of “Metamorphosis” and their previous singles “Crucify” and  “I Feel Everything”, Holy Wars are coming out of the gate swinging and offering a bold and declarative statement on who they are today — confident, reenergized and in full embrace of their identity and sound.

2025 has undoubtedly been a crucial “level-up” for the band following the release of their breakout EP “Cult Classic” and label debut for Pale Chord/Rise in late 2023. This past September, Holy Wars joined forces with Evanescence for a on-off show at the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, alongside alternative-metal royalty Poppy. In June of this year, Holy Wars embarked on an epic trip across the pond to perform a series of high profile sets at massive festivals in both the UK and EU, including Rock im Park and Rock am Ring in Germany, Rock For People in the Czech Republic — as well as Download Festival in the UK on Saturday. Additionally, the band supported nu metal pioneers Kittie for  a string of club shows in the EU/UK in tandem with their festival appearances.

“You never truly learn  who you are as an artist until you hit the road hard and this past year gave us a ton of confidence and clarity going into the future of this band” Leon states.

In January 2026, Holy Wars will set sail on ShipRocked, alongside Halestorm, Motionless In White, Knocked Loose, and recent tourmates Kittie, amongst many others. Stay tuned for more exciting announcements from Holy Wars as the band will be revealing more new music and tour dates in the coming months.
