Mosara announces new album and collaboration with Remorseless Records

Phoenix, Arizona depressive doom band Mosara, announces a collaboration with Remorseless Records to release their latest album, “Rumour of a Funeral” on July 11^th. The latest offering from the atavistic doom veterans combines hammering and groove laden rhythms with wretched and bleak layers of sound.

As cliché as the following descriptor may read, a lot of “blood, sweat and tears” went into composing the 4-track album. The emotion that secretes from the sonically remorseless and lengthy psalms is palpable. Speaking on the album, Tony said,

“This is the album that we dug deep on. Two years of my own personal turmoil, the band banging our heads against the wall and against each other, clawing, writing, and writing until we dug deep into the depths of our talent and still dug deeper. I consider this our proudest moment and can’t wait for everyone to listen to it.”

“Rumour of a Funeral” will be released on CD and cassette formats via Remorseless Records and digital formats via the band’s Bandcamp and other popular music streaming platforms.

In the unforgiving year of 2005, amidst the echoes of the past and the uncertainty of the future, an enigmatic band emerged from the shadows, destined to forge a legacy in the realms of sludge, metal, and doom.With their haunting melodies and thunderous riffs, they relentlessly captivated audiences for two years before finally disbanding with an unfinished demo.

During the latter part of 2019, Mosara was reborn and rebuilt with founder and original member, Tony Gallegos. Mosara released their first official self-titled album, “Mosara”in 2021. In 2022, their sophomore effort, “Only The Dead Know Our Secrets” was released, receiving high praise from several prominent heavy music blogs for its progressive and haunting doom melodies. Mosara released the single track “Amena” in 2023 before hunkering down to write their most involved and evolved work to date, “Rumour of a Funeral.”
