Queen of Spades releases first single of upcoming album

Dutch hardrock/metal band Queen of Spades released first single “Committed”, the 16th of January, from their brand new coming album.

This track is about choosing yourself and your dreams in life when no one else understands, you’re blocking out the noise, and are staying locked in on your purpose no matter who doubts you. “Committed” captures the mindset of self-belief, independence, and relentless drive. It’s for anyone who’s done seeking approval, done living for others, and ready to move forward on their own terms.
With raw lyrics and an unstoppable energy, Committed speaks to the grind in life, the judgment from others and the confidence it takes to say this is my time. No control. No permission. Just focus, ambition, and self-loyalty.

Singer Peggy explains: 

“COMMITTED” is a song I wrote for myself. It’s a reminder of who I am and where I’m going.It comes from constantly being questioned, doubted, and boxed in for being a female singer in a heavy music oriented band. From hearing things like “If you have a child, you’ll quit the band, right?” or “Ballad songs suit you better.” From being told directly or indirectly, to shrink my dreams or adjust them to make others more comfortable.
This song is my answer to all of that.
Committed is about choosing my band, keep chasing my passion and about my vision without apology. It’s about staying focused when people doubt you, staying loud when they expect you to quiet down and staying true when others think they know what’s best for your life.
I’m not seeking approval.
I’m not living for anyone else.
I’m committed to myself, my band and the goals we have.
This track is for anyone who’s tired of being told what they should want and ready to chase what they actually do.

Queen of Spades is a hardrock/metal band that formed in 2019. They released their first album ‘Devil In Disguise’ in 2021. That album was drenched in classic and hardrock influences. After releasing, they worked hard on their sound and image and have experimented with their sound by releasing some stand-alone singles. Now, with a clear vision and sound, they are working on their second album.

Queen of Spades enters a new chapter shaped by the ancient elements: Fire, Earth, Wind, Water, and Aether. The Spade represents their ‘Divine’. This rebirth marks a shift toward a deeper intention, a raw presence and elemental balance. Where earlier work confronted identity and power, this new phase explores origin, transformation and connection. The band embraces contrast: force and stillness, structure and flow, the tangible and the intangible. Each song becomes an element in motion, forming a living system rather than a single statement. Queen of Spades is no longer just telling a story, they are becoming one.
Known for their captivating live performances, Queen of Spades not only showcases their musical talents but also delivers the energy and intensity that makes hard rock and metal so irresistible. They performed as a support act for Tremonti in 013 and have provided the after show for Three Days Grace at AFAS LIVE.
