Album Reviews

The latest E.P. ‘De Syv Stadier Af Fordærv’ of the Danish death metal four-piece Undergang offers a rotten mixture brutal old school death metal and stands as one of the band’s best releases. Out on September 1 via Dark Descent Records.

“Apotheosis” is by far the Deiquisitor’s strongest effort to date and the guitar work, in general, is absolutely incredible. Although the 4th album isn’t necessarily considered a refinement it’s more of an evolution and setting up of new trademarks for the band. Out on January 20 via Extremely Rotten Productions and Night Shroud Records!

For the true old-school death metal aficionados Chaotian’s first full-length album ‘Effigies of Obsolescence’ is worthy of your time and money. The Danish trio presents an amalgam of U.S. death metal in its most primitive form. Out on Dark Descent and Me Saco Un Ojo Records.

With the sophomore ‘Chimaera’ Phrenelith has transformed into an inspiring institution for contemporary bands.

“The Black Mouth of Sepulchre” delivers unmatched performance from the Danish that will rather bring them to the top echelons of European acts.

‘Humanoid’ is by far one of the best EPs released this year. If you are into old-school brutal death metal, then I recommend checking out their latest effort.

Undergang has exceeded the standards of their songwriting on their latest album. “Aldrig i livet” is crushing and brutal!

Baest seems to continue in the same direction of the debut album but this time they push harder where they intent to sound more organic and raw.

Baest are insanely brutal, raw and incredibly captivating on their debut album Danse Macabre!
