Album Reviews

On this debut outing, the Portuguese quintet follows the subterranean path of the Finnish forefathers of funeral doom metal Thergothon.

“Moksha” has more of a characteristic sound and proves how the band can create such a refined masterpiece of black metal.

U.K. based funeral doom metal band Esoteric returns after long years of hiatus. Their newest, 7thalbum, ‘A Pyrrhic Existence’, is a mammoth coalescence of funeral doom, death metal and experimental elements from progressive metal.

The Dark Red Seed is an experimental folly of King Dude’s guitar player Tosten Larson. While you will find some references to the dark Americana of his main band, the music presented herein is something quite different from what you might have hoped or expected: from Hindu esoteric to The Doors.

Caustic is a very worthy sophomore album for the Doom/Sludge trio Primitive Man. Prepare to be run over by this audible bulldozer.
