Album Reviews

‘The Dread March of the Solemn Gods’ is a grim black metal album that involves many epic proportions. Highly recommended recommended for fans of Dissection, Bathory and Emperor.

Niht brings catchy rhythm and bass guitar merged beautifully. The recent work of the international duo seemed to be bound by precise musicianship.

“Heilsweg: O Udręce Ciała I Tułaczce Duszy” comes close to perfection the debut displays a melodic grandeur and stands as a sonic ideal in our contemporary times, recommended for fans of Mgła, Blaze of Perdition, and Ascension.

“La Morsure du Christ” beautifully emphasizes the majestic and the grim vocal performance, the songs are carried in the exuberant form of tremolo picked-riffs. Illustrating a powerful presentation throughout forty-four minutes of duration.

The Stone’s latest output is, without doubt, one of the worthy albums I’ve heard this year, the Slavic quintet has brought a mesmeric and aggressive musical work full of hooks and melodies.

“Ôfstân” is far from an average black metal album and I highly recommend this album to fans of pagan black metal.

Aethyrick music creates some of the most calming melodies and atmospheric qualities which makes them sound different from the Finnish black metal bands.

‘Ymir’ maintains a thin line between pagan melodic and atmospheric black metal. The songs are built on classic tremolo-picked riffs displayed amid a flurry of blast beats.

Stormkeep on their debut EP album offers a decent performance for both fans of melodic black metal and dungeon synth daydreamers.

‘Vökudraumsins fangi’ draws a thin line between aggression and deeply melancholic elements of Icelandic black metal.
