Ginger Vine Management & PR gave us access to Apocalyptica’s “Plays Metallica vol. 2” show at Tampere-Talo on the 23rd of January. A show that was not only great to listen to, but also was visually great, with light arrangements that just helped the music to shine even brighter.

Master Events gave us yet another great evening when they booked Raskasta Joulua to perform an acoustic set at Tampere’s Kaleva Church on the 26th of November. The show with Antti Railio, Marko Hietala and Ilja Jalkanen was a full success, although very different from the usual Raskasta Joulua shows.

Vola’s ‘Friend of a Phantom’ tour passed through Finland last week and hit Tampere’s Pakkahuone on Tuesday November 5th. It was a filled with emotion, not only from Vola, but also the support acts Feather Mountain and Charlotte Wessels. This almost overwhelming rollercoaster ride of emotions was brought to us by TuskaLive.

The last weekend of October, Apulanta played two glorious shows at Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland in front of a huge crowd of fans, and joined by Lahtis Sinfonia Orchestra. A show that somehow felt simultaneously simplistic and very grand, with a well-thought-out light show and setlist featuring rarely played tracks live!

Smash Into Pieces were back in Finland a while back, and we got to see their show at Tampere’s Pakkahuone, where they played in front of a full house alongside Cyan Kicks. A wonderful night of good music and atmosphere, hosted by Live Nation Finland.

Tuhdimmat Tahdit’s second day with Brother Firetribe, Tarot, Huora, Klamydia, Suburban Tribe, Sonata Arctica and Apulanta was just as much fun as the first day!

Day one of Tuhdimmat Tahdit in it’s all renewed version gave us Kotiteollisuus, Marko Hietala, Lost Society, Stratovarius, Mokoma, Stam1na and Amorphis. What a great festival that we sure will return to again in the future.

Steve ‘n’ Seagulls came to Tampere’s G Livelab in the beginning of June and united people of all ages with their light-hearted music and bluegrass/country takes on rock and metal classics!

Blind Channel with support from Lastout and Costee filled up Tampere’s Nokia Arena pretty well on 27th of April for the one Finnish tour date this spring. An event by Extra Large Music and Warner Music Live, adding a massive arena show to wrap things up before they moved on to the USA.

Turmion Kätilöt came to Tampere’s Pakkahuone for a big Easter party. Along came Japanese black metal legends Sigh and Finnish melodeath doomsters Marianas Rest. An event by Nem Agency and Tullikamari Tampere.
