Walkways release new song ‘A Virus. Prove Me Wrong’

Alternative Metal, Modern Metal

As the fourth single from their upcoming  album ‘A Reminder’, Walkways unleash ‘A Virus. Prove Me Wrong’, a vicious indictment of humanity’s self-appointed supremacy. The song drags greed, dominance, and endless consumption into the open, framing mankind as a parasite feeding on life while calling itself intelligent. Snarling with accusation and self-loathing, it dares us to break our addiction to extinction or accept the truth that we are the virus, and always have been.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the new single, Ran Yerushalmi shares:

“This song comes from rage and disgust, but also responsibility. It’s about what happens when power, appetite, and entitlement go unchecked, and we start treating everything around us as disposable, including life itself. ‘A Virus. Prove Me Wrong’ isn’t pointing fingers from above; it’s forcing us to look straight at ourselves and decide whether we’re capable of being more than what we’ve become.”

Pushing the boundaries of alternative heavy music, Tel Aviv powerhouse WALKWAYS channel raw emotion through relentless intensity and intrinsic dynamics. Bound together by a close-knit brotherhood, the band craft deeply immersive music that is as confrontational as it is vulnerable – an emotional force that has resonated far beyond their geographic origins, reaching audiences across the globe.

WALKWAYS create as an act of release, healing, and transformation. Their music serves as both refuge and resistance – an antidote to the psychological weight of life in Israel and the Middle East, and an oasis where humanity, clarity, and self-determination can endure. Each song reflects a conscious choice forward. We all choose our own paths. Our own walkways.

Their 2019 record Bleed Out, Heal Out (Nuclear Blast) marked a major leap forward for the band, showcasing their unique ability to fuse ferocious riffs and visceral screams with soaring melodies and moments of stark vulnerability. Self-produced by WALKWAYS, the album was mixed by drummer Priel Horesh and mastered by Ermin Hamidovich (Periphery), firmly establishing the band on the international heavy music stage.
