Zygoma quits, but a new band forms from the ashes
Zygoma started as a death metal band in 2008, after some lineup changes and name changes, the music developed into a more atechnical way of writing progressive metal. While writing songs and playing shows,
the band developed into a mathcore/progressive/grind/experimental metalband. They released their first demo/EP, Flesh. Made. Void., in the summer of 2010.
Today, the band announced on their Facebook thet they’re calling Zygoma quits and will be playing together in a new band soon (announcement below):
To anyone who’s ever been involved with this band: thank you. This is the end.
This year would’ve been the 10th anniversary of this band. There have been some weird things going on internally and we feel disconnected with what this band meant musically. We had a lot of fun along the way, played tons of shows and saw places we would’ve never ever seen otherwise. Thank you to everyone who made that possible.
Me (Gert), Kenzo and Jonas are still having fun playing music together and are working on a new band. Keep an eye out for that.
