Desertfest Belgium announces first four bands for this year’s edition

The biggest fuzz-filled indoor festival of the BeNeLux, Desertfest Antwerp, just dropped the first load of bands to play on this year’s edition. Since tickets were on sale a little bit later than last year, the early bird tickets dropped down to €80 for a whole weekend. This resulted in them being completely sold out in less than 24 hours, without having confirmed any band yet. With the first four bands being announced today, reduced combi tickets at €95 are on sale now!

The first band on the line-up is the almighty YOB. Releasing their eighth studio album, Our Raw Heart, on June 8th, they’ll be on tour in Europe this fall, stopping by the Trix venue in Antwerp on the weekend of October 12th. Another scene legend and a first timer the line-up is the one and only John Garcia, next to Brant Bjork (Vista Chino, Fu Manchu, …) and Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Vultures, …) one of the founders of what was one of the most influencial bands ever in the scene: Kyuss. He’ll be playing the fest with his newest outfit: The Band of Gold. The female-fronted Acid King and the return of Wo Fat complete the first bunch of headliners of this year’s promising edition.

Don’t make the same mistake twice if you missed out on the early birds! Knowing our favorite ‘Fuzzfreak and Feedback junkie’ gathering of the year, plenty of exeptional acts will be added to the line-up soon!
