Finnish outfit Cumbeast return with new album

Brutal Death Metal, Death Metal

Cumbeast are back with “Fairytales Of Filth”, their seventh full-length album, set for release on May 12 through Morbid Generation Records. The Finnish group embraces new textures without losing sight of their signature groove-heavy and aggressive sound, now enriched by melodic twists, folk influences, and a handful of surprising collaborations.

The band released a new video for their single, “Captain Cock“, featuring guest appearances from Sami Perttula (Korpiklaani) and John Puig (Phrymerial).

Finish your plate and buckle in—Finland’s Cumbeast are back with “Fairytales Of Filth”, their seventh full-length album, due out May 12, 2025, via Morbid Generation Records. Known for pummeling deathgrind wrapped in neon slime and gallows humor, the band takes their absurdity to new levels this time, both musically and thematically.

Kicking off their “filth-as-lore” mythology, Fairytales Of Filth is the band’s first dive into twisted fairytale territory. It pushes their trademark blend of brutal grooves, blastbeats, fretless bass, and guttural absurdism into even stranger places. Think slamming death metal meets off-the-wall folk, synths from 90s black metal, and lyrics you definitely shouldn’t read out loud at grandma’s house.

Artist/Band: Cumbeast
Release Title: Fairytales Of Filth
Label: Morbid Generation Records
Release Date: May 12, 2025
Format: CD, Digital, Cassette
Genre: Brutal Death Metal
Country: Finland

The record brings on a crew of guests to wreck shop: Sami Perttula of Korpiklaani lends accordion to “Captain Cock”, while Henri Sorvali (Finntroll/Moonsorrow) drops synths on “Troll Named Scrot”. Yes, that’s an actual track name. And yes, it’s as unhinged as it sounds.

Formed in 2005, Cumbeast have built a cult following across Europe thanks to their chaotic, LED-lit live shows and fearless disregard for genre etiquette. Now, after six years since 2019’s Gore Zoo, the band has fine-tuned the ridiculous into something heavier, groovier, and even… melodic? Don’t worry—there’s still plenty of slamming filth to go around.
