Finnish folk/pagan metal artist Vermilia release new video for ‘Karsikko’

,

Finnish folk/Pagan Metal artist Vermilia has released the official music video for Karsikko, a track deeply rooted in ancient Finnish folklore, death rituals, and the spiritual relationship between humans and nature.

The term Karsikko refers to an old Finnish tradition in which trees were marked to honor the dead or to prevent spirits from returning to the world of the living. This haunting custom forms the conceptual backbone of the video, which presents a ritualistic and atmospheric visual narrative set against the stark northern landscape.

Known for blending black metal intensity with folk elements and mythological themes, Vermilia continues to carve out a unique artistic space with Karsikko. The video emphasizes raw emotion, symbolism, and a strong connection to ancestral memory, reflecting the artist’s deeply personal approach to both music and visuals.

The full-length album ‘Karsikko‘ was released independently last year.
