Belgian noise tio It It Anita drop roaring new video ‘Lion Tamer’
With their noise rock riffage, raw screaming, melodious phrasing and sharp sense of humour, Belgian trio IT IT ANITA deliver refreshing rhythms filled with nuances and intriguing depth. Their awaited fifth album ‘HI HI HA HA’ came out last Winter via Vicious Circle and Luik Music. Today they unveil a new video for “Lion Tamer”.
Liege-based noise rock trio IT IT ANITA’s new record ‘HI HI HA HA’ is the forced sour laugh that the band address to an increasingly gloomy, mortifying, news story. One after another, the songs condemn the yawning gap between political and working classes, the danger of the masculiniste movement and its influencers, reactionary speeches that are 50 years late on family ideals, body worship, the value of money… ‘HI HI HA HA’ proves that Michael Goffard, Elliot Stassen and Bryan Hayart remain France-Belgium’s rock driving force.
New music video “Lion Tamer” was directed and edited by Guillaume Van Ngoc. Shot as a live-session, it reflects the raw energy given off by the combo.
Founded in Liège (Belgium) in 2012 by Michael Goffard and Damien Aresta, soon joined by Elliot Stassen and Bryan Hayart, IT IT ANITA are a noise rock trio.
After the release of their self-titled debut EP, IT IT ANITA teamed up with producer John Agnello (Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr, Thurston Moore) and issued the EP ‘Recorded By John Agnello’ in 2015, followed by their debut album ‘Agaaiin’ in 2016. Both records were released on Belgian independent label Luik Music. In 2018, they released their second album ‘Laurent’ on French imprint Vicious Circle (Shannon Wright, Lysistrata, The Psychotic Monks). The band recorded their third album ‘Sauvé’ (Vicious Circle Records) in 2020 at The Apiary studio in Laval, Mayenne. It was produced by Amaury Sauvé (Birds in Row, Bison Bisou).
In March 2022, after Damien Aresta left, IT IT ANITA became a trio. They performed in many countries in Europe and North America, including festivals such as Pukkelpop, Dour Festival, Guess Who?, Eurosonic, Printemps de Bourges, The Great Escape Festival, Monkey Week, or FME.
In 2023, as a trio, IT IT ANITA released their fourth studio effort ‘Mouche’ on Vicious Circle. New album ‘HI HI HA HA’ is out since January 30th on Vicious Circle and Luik.
