Dying Oath confronts betrayal and the ghosts of the past with crushing new single ‘Echoes’
“Echoes” came from a place of pain. If you have ever been used, lied to, or just completely betrayed, then you’ll connect with this. It’s about calling out people in your life who make you the villain, when you have been the one who is victimized. It’s about the peace that comes from walking away, and not feeling guilty about it.”
Some wounds never heal. Some voices never disappear. Metal powerhouse DYING OATH new single, “Echoes,” delivers what the band describes as their heaviest, darkest, and most powerful material to date.
Built on crushing riffs, haunting melodies, and an atmosphere thick with emotion, “Echoes” dives into the lingering effects of betrayal and the memories that refuse to stay buried. It is a song that doesn’t simply revisit the past it confronts it head on.
“‘Echoes’ is a song born from betrayal, reflection, and the voices of the past that refuse to fade. It’s heavier, darker, and more powerful than anything the band has released so far.”
That statement isn’t just a promise it’s the foundation of the song itself.
With blistering instrumentation and emotionally charged vocals, “Echoes” captures the internal struggle between holding on and letting go. Every crushing breakdown, soaring melody, and haunting lyric reflects the emotional weight of scars left behind by broken trust and unresolved pain.
While maintaining the intensity that fans have come to expect from DYING OATH, the new single pushes the band’s songwriting into darker, more cinematic territory. The result is a track that balances sheer aggression with vulnerable storytelling, creating an unforgettable listening experience that lingers long after the final note fades. As anticipation builds for its release, “Echoes” marks another bold step forward for Dying Oath, showcasing a band unafraid to evolve while remaining fiercely committed to delivering uncompromising heavy music with genuine emotional depth.

DYING OATH is a five piece, female fronted, metal/metalcore band from Southwest Virginia. The band has worked to create their own custom sound through blending 2000s metalcore with the modern metal sound of today. Starting from humble beginnings of a small town, DYING OATH set out to change the local music scene. Building a steady following locally in a short amount of time, based solely on their love for their fans and the music they make, they began the swift roller-coaster ride of their lives. Early in their career, DYING OATH, in under 2 years, have played festivals with some of the top bands that inspired them from all over the world, and has motivated them even more to put in the work to take their career to the next level. DYING OATH has managed to snag the eyes and ears of local and national radio stations, magazines, and podcasts abroad, as well as thousands of views on their music videos. Their friendship and love for what they do has pushed them to endure through hardship in the music industry as well as their private lives and has proven to only make them stronger as a unit. In the midst of writing uplifting songs about overcoming difficult times and empowerment, DYING OATH hopes to shine as a light in the darkness to make a solid connection to the very people that got them through to begin with, the fans. This band’s main goal is to create music they’re proud of against all odds, even if that just means playing music with their friends on the weekends.
