Hellsinki Metal Festival was a new and exciting player in the Finnish festival season, taking place the second weekend of August. More than 11 000 visitors enjoyed a bold and versatile line-up of bands, with quite a few that rarely reach the Finnish shoreline to play a show. Check out the official aftermovie right here:
Hellsinki Metal Festival promoter Toni Törrönen comments that next summer’s plans are already well underway:
“We are doing this event only and only for our audience, so we have listened carefully to the feedback of our visitors, and we take them into account in the planning. Our festival organization has been working hard throughout the fall so that we can develop the Hellsinki Metal Festival even better.
The first negotiations about the performers were already underway before this summer’s festival was finished, and it’s really great to now be able to announce the first performers of next summer!”
And what an announcement it is! Yet again they offer us a wide range of different styles, including special shows the likes Finland hasn’t seen or rarely sees:
Heaven Shall Burn
The Amity Affliction
Triumph of Death performing Hellhammer
Humanity’s Last Breath
Next year’s Hellsinki Metal Festival will take place again at the Nordis area, around and in the Helsinki Ice Hall, and the date of the event is August 9-10, 2024.
