Belgian metal outfit X-Pozed announce second studio album ‘A Cure For Worse’
Belgian metalcore veterans X-Pozed return with their first full-length album in fourteen years: ‘A Cure For Worse’ out September 12, 2026. The ten-track record is the band’s first full-length since 2012’s ‘Essence Of Hope’ and arrives after a remarkable second chapter that saw the reunited original line-up win the 2024 Alcatraz Bash, perform at Alcatraz Open Air and rebuild its momentum on club and festival stages. As X-POZED head toward their 20th anniversary in 2027, ‘A Cure For Worse’ turns nearly two decades of history, frustration, resilience and renewed purpose into the band’s most focused statement yet.
‘A Cure For Worse’ is an album about what happens after damage has been done. Across ten songs, X-POZED move through betrayal, anger, psychological pressure, toxic cycles, revenge, forgiveness, the need for support and the stubborn search for better days. Rather than presenting healing as clean or easy, the record embraces its contradictions: sometimes survival begins in rage, sometimes in confrontation, sometimes by asking to be pulled out, and sometimes by letting go. Its ultimate message is one of resilience – the scars remain, but they do not get to decide what comes next.

The band about the album:
With ‘A Cure For Worse’, we never wanted to turn our backs on what has always defined X-POZED: crushing riffs, heavy grooves, energetic drums and aggressive, powerful vocals. We wanted to take that foundation and push everything up another level — heavier, tighter, more dynamic and more melodic where the songs called for it. Somewhere between the raw hardcore impact of Hatebreed and Pro-Pain, the melodic power of Killswitch Engage and the sheer weight and groove of Gojira — but always sounding like X-POZED.
“We didn’t want to reinvent the band. We wanted to build the strongest version of it.”
X-POZED were founded in West Flanders, Belgium, in 2007. During their first run, the band developed an energetic blend of metalcore, hardcore and nu-metal, released debut album ‘Essence Of Hope’ in 2012 and played beyond Belgium. After an extended hiatus, the original line-up reunited – not to recreate the past, but to see how far the band could still be pushed. That return grew into something much bigger than a reunion. In 2024, X-POZED won the Alcatraz Bash from a field of more than one hundred Belgian bands, earning a slot at Alcatraz Open Air in Kortrijk. The single “Back Down” later became a key calling card for the band’s second chapter.

X-POZED will celebrate the release of ‘A Cure For Worse’ on the day the album arrives: September 12, 2026, at Charlatan in Ghent, Belgium, with Turpentine Valley and Kerker. The show marks the live launch of the band’s next chapter and brings the new record to the stage in one of Ghent’s best-known live venues. Tickets and info here.
