Helsinki “Catwalkcore” duo DualityVile share their second single ‘Dead Cat Bounce’

“Even a dead cat will bounce if it is dropped from a great height.”

DualityVile’s second single, “Dead Cat Bounce,” showcases the duo’s ability to bring Pop-R&B into the modern era on their own terms. The track depicts fleeting comfort and temporary success experiences that, at worst, lead to a prolonged mental decline. The song encourages listeners to consider the point at which risks taken at the expense of one’s own well-being are no longer worth it.

Fans have been asking for new music, and now it is here; two more releases are scheduled for this year.

DualityVile (Dimitris Kavvadas & Essi Hoppari) is a colorful duo of two well-rounded musicians who play with hubbabubba-flavored Greek peppers in their music. The genres and lyrics of the songs vary between sassy dance music and chaotic ”make total destruction”, while still maintaining the same thread throughout songs. DualityVile composes, produces and records their songs themselves, but Rami Nykänen is responsible for mixing and mastering.

The duo’s debut single, “Parabellum Bivtch,” was released in the spring of 2026 and received a warm reception across various media outlets (Soundi, Inferno, Kaaoszine, GRIMM Gent). A significant milestone for the duo was being named “Newcomer of the Week” on Anne Lainto’s ”Anne Lainto <3 Rock” show on YleX (Finland’s national radio station), as well as earning a spot on the same station’s list of the “Best Domestic Releases of the Year So Far.”
