Ashen, the Parisian metalcore sensation, is proud to release their latest single and music video, “Chimera.” This powerful track, steeped in lead vocalist Clem‘s personal struggles, transforms his experiences of injustice and pain into a striking expression. “Chimera” emerges from the shadows of Clem‘s troubled youth, channeling his lingering sense of injustice into a vengeful fantasy. The track personifies Chimera as an anti-hero – a guardian for the oppressed, a balance to the scales of fairness. In this vivid portrayal, Clem and Chimera become intertwined, reflecting a dual existence that resonates throughout the song’s erratic structure and evolution.

The lyrics, with lines like “Blood red eyes, straight out of a thriller” and “Knife in your mouth here’s a brand new tongue split,” create a vivid, tumultuous world where despair meets resilience. Accompanied by a music video, “Chimera” showcases Ashen‘s talent in fusing compelling imagery with their emotive, hard-hitting sound.
