Academy Order unleash industrial-driven reimagining of ‘Remember The Night’ featuring Spectral Body

Blurring the boundaries between post-punk, goth, EBM and industrial music, ACADEMY ORDER return with Remember The Night (Spectral Body Alt Version), a striking reimagining of the track created in collaboration with Nashville-based artist SPECTRAL BODY. Arriving in time for Halloween, the single offers a darker, more aggressive glimpse into the band’s evolving sound and forthcoming The Order of Love EP.

Drawing inspiration from the pioneering sounds of MINISTRY, SKINNY PUPPY, and FRONT 242, the collaboration transforms the original composition into a minimalist, hard-hitting exploration of classic EBM and industrial music. What began as a straightforward remix ultimately developed into something far more substantial, with entirely reworked vocals and a fresh creative approach that pushes the track into new territory.

The collaboration itself is rooted in a longstanding musical connection. SPECTRAL BODY‘s J. was among the first friends ACADEMY ORDER made in Nashville, although their shared history stretches back even further through years of crossing paths in various punk-related projects. Their mutual appreciation for electronic body music, industrial, and underground punk provided the foundation for a natural creative partnership.

Remember The Night (Spectral Body Alt Version) serves as an introduction to The Order of Love, an upcoming EP combining new original material with remixes from friends and collaborators throughout the American goth and post-punk underground. The project reflects a newfound creative freedom for ACADEMY ORDER, allowing the band to explore different sonic directions while maintaining the identity at the heart of their music.

The band’s recent material has been recorded and produced between Boston and Nashville, working with Alex Garcia-Rivera (COLD CAVE, AMERICAN NIGHTMARE) and J. of SPECTRAL BODY. While this particular track ventures further into electronic and industrial territory than some of the forthcoming original material, it represents an important chapter in ACADEMY ORDER‘s continued musical evolution.
