Aesthetic Perfection team up with Priest on new single ‘Rorschach’

Industrial pop act Aesthetic Perfection joined forces with Swedish synthwave trio PRIEST on new single “Rorschach,” out now via Out Of Line Music. The track landed one day before the two bands headed out together on a ten-date tour across Europe.

“Rorschach” is a dark, pulsing piece of synth-industrial, built on a heavy electronic pulse with the cold, melodic edge of PRIEST‘s synthwave sound, bringing a darker retro-futurist shade to Aesthetic Perfection‘s hook-driven industrial pop.

Lyrically, the song is a mind game about being seen through other people’s projections. Like the inkblot test it is named after, the narrator becomes whatever the observer wants to find – “You see me like a rorschach, / You see what you want to see” – while insisting that the truth lies somewhere else entirely: “No, / I’m not what I seem to be.”

The release caps a busy 2026 for Aesthetic Perfection, which included an extensive US headline tour, both days of TILL FEST in Leipzig and appearances at M’era Luna Festival and Summer Breeze Open Air. On 30 October, the band and PRIEST launched their joint Suckers For Punishment tour in Sheffield, running through Paris, Cologne, Berlin and Munich before wrapping up in Hamburg on 14 November. In spring 2027, Aesthetic Perfection return to the US on tour with Powerman 5000, followed by a slot at AMPHI Festival 2027 in Cologne.

Aesthetic Perfection is an industrial pop project led by Los Angeles-born, Austria-based producer Daniel Graves, alongside Los Angeles native Constance Antoinette and New York-based drummer Joe Letz. Over the past 25 years, the band has redefined dark electro, blending industrial, pop, and goth across seven full-length albums and countless singles and music videos. Despite flying under the mainstream radar for decades, the band has built a fiercely loyal global fanbase, selling out headline tours across Europe and North America and landing multiple support tours with Till Lindemann.
