Australian post-black metal act Callous Faulter unveil new song ‘The Isolationist’

Callous Faulter, the new solo venture from J Angus (ex-Greytomb, Paroxysmal Cavitation), has revealed the opening track from the upcoming EP with “The Isolationist”.

Born from the slow suffocation of modern existence, Callous Faulter channels paranoia, alienation, and emotional exhaustion into vast walls of sound that feel simultaneously oppressive and strangely beautiful.

Like industrial smog rising over collapsing cityscapes, the music drifts through waves of bitterness, distortion, and cinematic melancholy, balancing moments of fragile calm against crushing emotional weight. Rather than relying solely on aggression, Callous Faulter weaponize atmosphere itself, crafting songs that linger like sleepless thoughts in the early hours of the morning.

Drawing from the bleak emotional landscapes of Altar of PlaguesWhite Ward, and Grima, the project merges blackened intensity, post-metal atmosphere, and haunting introspection into something deeply personal and uncompromising.

Callous Faulter‘s self-titled debut EP will be released on June 1st via Gutter Prince Cabal. Pre-order the album on Bandcamp here.
