Blood Countess shared new track ‘The Scavenger’s Daughter’

Black Metal

British black metallers Blood Countess shared the new track “The Scavenger’s Daughter”. The track is the second to be revealed from the band’s highly anticipated second album, Imperatrix Sanguinis, set for international release on April 24th via Dominance of Darkness Records. Hear Blood Countess‘ The Scavenger’s Daughter” in its entirety exclusively HERE.

For nearly a decade now, the UK’s Blood Countess has waged a war on weakness and mediocrity with a black metal sound strikingly authentic: nothing but the coldest, most merciless of the mid-to-late ’90s. Think the likes of classic Enthroned, Lord Belial, and Thy Primordial and you’re well within Blood Countess‘ headspace – and in their target.

Now, four years since their Occulta Tenebris debut album arrives Blood Countess‘ second album, Imperatrix Sanguinis. No more but definitely no less, Imperatrix Sanguinis surges forth with a savagery that’s merciless, punishing, and perversely addicting…for those with a staunch, depraved constitution. Indeed, Blood Countess remain true to their moniker, spilling tales of Elizabeth Bathory’s reign of blood-soaked tyranny – obsession, sex, and perversion entwined with madness and hatred for humankind – all led by the invective throat of frontwoman The Cuntess. The riffing is relentless and racing, offering dizzying variety for all the blitzkrieging battery on display. Nevertheless, Blood Countess are not a one-trick pony, and can work up a haunting atmosphere when they slow things down; simply witness the stunning closer, “Anna Nádasdy,” dug deep in “Dunkelheit” snow. Summon the dark legend of the Blood Countess and drown quickly in Imperatrix Sanguinis!
