Steelfest announces 24 more names for 2027 line-up

Steelfest has expanded its already impressive line-up for 2027 with 24 additional names, bringing another sizeable batch of Finnish and international extreme metal acts to the festival’s fifteenth edition.

Among the newly announced international acts are Swedish Abruptum and Malakhim, Brazilian Mystifier, French act Seth, Polish Infernal War, Norway’s Nordjevel, UK’s Adorior and Saor, Mexican act Hierophany, and US bands Autumns Strife and Nexul.

The new announcement also adds a substantial selection of Finnish underground metal to the bill as usual, including Horna, Sargeist, Ride For Revenge, Bythos, White Rune, Curse Upon A Prayer, Urn, Cadaveric Incubator, Black Beast, Korgonthurus, Beleth’s Trumpet and Hellgate Necrosodomy.

Several of the newly announced performances come with special elements. Saor will perform a dedicated “Roots & Aura” set, while Grieve are set to make their first and, according to Steelfest, only live appearance. The festival describes the performance with the following statement: “Never performed before. Never to perform again.” Steelfest 2027 will therefore be the band’s first and last performance.

The additions join an already extensive Steelfest XV line-up featuring Dødheimsgard, Archgoat, Osculum Infame, Acherontas, Winterfylleth, Grave Miasma, Mortifera, Nyogthhaeblisz, Moosegut, Maquahuitl, Kratti, Abyssion and Rietas, among others. The festival has also announced a number of special and exclusive performances, including Dødheimsgard focusing entirely on its 1995–1999 era, Osculum Infame celebrating the 30th anniversary of Dor-nu-Fauglith, and Acherontas presenting the final performance of And Cosmos from Ashes to Dust…. at Steelfest XV.
