British metalcore mainstays This Dying Hour share emotive & heavy new single

Metalcore

High Wycombe-based metalcore veterans THIS DYING HOUR have shared an explosive new single, titled “Paranoia”, alongside a brand new music video. Discussing the new single and its themes, vocalist Leo Mesada comments:

“This is an intense and reflective piece that captures the struggle between existential dread and the search for higher meaning. It explores themes like paranoia, inner conflict, self-discovery, and disillusionment with spiritual or societal narratives.”

He continues:“there’s a powerful contrast between feeling connected to something greater and the fear of succumbing to the chaos within.”

Tackling deeply personal themes of inner conflict and mental anguish, “Paranoia” is an emotive and urgent slice of modern metalcore that yearns to be heard, with a planetary vocal performance, angular riffing, driving percussion and gorgeous textural synth work all working to create an undeniably airtight package.

The release of “Paranoia” follows the band’s highly successful 2024 single, “Blood Eagle”, which saw the metalcore unit establish and solidify a new era and line-up, including Mesada. 2025 is already looking to be the band’s biggest year yet, with not only new music, but further appearances on stages across the UK alongside the likes of The Five Hundred and Red Method, as well as festival stages such as this year’s Phoenix Fest and Slaughter Fest.

With an impressive 50,000 streams in the past 12 months as well as recognition from Knotfest and BBC Introducing combined with being featured in official Apple and Spotify playlists, THIS DYING HOUR is ready to take the stage with renewed purpose and passion.
