Death metal duo Pestilength revealed details upcoming album

Two years after the release of “Basom Gryphos“, which cemented PESTILENGTH‘s reputation as a hidden gem in the underground scene, the corrosive Death Metal duo announce their third album – and DMP debut – which will arrive on February 16th, 2024. “Solar Clorex” is the most brilliant example yet of the band’s dank mesmeric alchemy and their singular approach to creating total sonic irradiation. It contains nine new compositions:

01. Intraexsanguination
02. Neerv
03. Occlusive
04. Enthronos Wormwomb
05. Baleful Profusion
06. Dilution Haep
07. Oxide Veils
08. Choirs Of None
09. Verbalist Aphonee

“Solar Clorex” was recorded and mixed at Submarino Records in summer 2023. Mastering was handled by S. from The Empty Hall studio, Namurian Visions crafted the striking cover artwork.

Simultaneous to this announcement, PESTILENGTH offer a first auditory glimpse into their latest masterpiece. New track ‘Neerv‘ is a formidable fusion of savage intensity and intricate arrangements, showcasing adept guitar work and dynamic drumming. Accentuated by a raw mix of guttural growls and ominous vocal depths, PESTILENGTH weave an entrancing soundscape.

M. elaborates about the new album and the first revealed track:

Crafted under feverish deliriums “Solar Clorex” stands above the organic reactions of unhuman beings or any creations. A total irradiating scorching matter will reset any form of life. The new album is the logical step forward from “Basom Gryphos“, as this early creature was just a weak warning. The irradiating carnage is planned to leave nothing but debris of flesh, wood, metal, rock…

Neerv‘ had to be explosive, full of despise and neuronal failures… It is a well-rounded song which depicts the monstruous offering of a cataclysm to come. Nerves collapse, systems fail!

Solar Clorex” will be released via CD, vinyl and digital formats – alongside merchandising – on February 16th, 2024. Pre-orders are possible via the label’s EU, US (no merch) and Bandcamp shops.

In early 2018 the anonymous duo PESTILENGTH emerged from the Basque Country with a twisted, contemporary-yet-classic style of extremity which they called ‘corrosive Death Metal’.

After a well-received series of demos and singles, in 2020 the band released first full-length, “Eilatik“, described by No Clean Singing webzine as: “…absolutely vicious at all times. It rips and tears in a frenzy, and pounds without mercy or remorse.

By the end of 2020, the band had received worldwide attention among labels, blogs, and musicians. Additional EP “Apore Flesh” was enthusiastically praised by LEVIATHAN‘s Jef Whitehead for reaching “… far beyond the world of copycats of the ‘underground'” in “khaotick shards of thought-provoking metalz of dementia“. A split with Mexican band REVERENCE TO PAROXYSM had followed soon afterwards the same year.

In August 2021, PESTILENGTH‘s monstrous sophomore album “Basom Gryphos” was unleashed to widespread critical acclaim. The album contained eight new songs whose cerebral slithering brutality was mirrored in the striking cover art by Namurian Visions.

In 2023 the band inked a deal with Debemur Morti Productions for the release of their upcoming next-level third album.
