Doodseskader shows no mercy with their new single “GABOS”

Game Ain’t Based On Sympathy

Survival of the fittest is merciless. And so is Doodseskader (“death squad”).

“GABOS” is the link between Doodseskader‘s first record “MMXX: Year Zero” and what is to come later this year. Faster and angrier, and still drenched with the same darkness they poured into “Year Zero”.

They wrote “GABOS” as a hymn, a “fight song” for what they descrive as “45”. An affiliation, an unbreakable bond that goes deeper than blood.

Knowing that however grim things become, you have each other’s back. Where their earlier singles were provided with an individual voice, now they’re going for the attack together.

“GABOS” was recorded and mixed in the Much Luv Studio (Amenra, Brutus, Absent In Body) and mastered by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Oathbreaker).

The track got a matching music video from the hands of the Lion Beach team (Oscar and the Wolf, Bazart, The Subs) in which a mass are trying in vain to get control over something gigantic and unknown.

DOODSESKADER (“death squad”) is the new brand of sonic terror from the minds of Tim De Gieter (Amenra, Every Stranger Looks Like You,…) and Sigfried Burroughs (Kapitan Korsakov, The K., …). After 16 years of friendship, the pair have joined forces to carve a barbarous sound like no other.

Seamlessly blending the punishing nature of sludge and metal with elements reminiscent of 90’s grunge and hip hop, the aptly named DOODSESKADER successfully create a sound that is far bigger than their modest instrumentation.

Their first record “MMXX : Year Zero” offered an unsettling yet satisfying glimpse into their brutal and unforgiving universe. Sonically existing in the same realms as Code Orange, Death Grips, Ghostemane, Show Me Your Body and Xibalba, they offer a new take on this style with their tasteful inclusion of melody amongst the calculated chaos.

This year the band is switching into higher gear with the release of both their second album as well as multiple singles and shows across Europe.
