Epinikion embraces nature by dancing with wolves in their third single

Symphonic Metal

Dutch symphonic metal band Epinikion releases their new single “Run with the Wolves” – another milestone on the road toward the album release of ‘The Force of Nature’ in February 2026.

Epinikion creates powerful melodic metal with the tight and strong lineup of this symphonic metal band. The album’s third single “Run with the Wolves” is a beautiful ode to nature and the connection between humans and animals. Heavy guitars combine with a powerful rhythmic orchestra and the clear voice of Kimberley Jongen, who takes everyone on a rollercoaster ride of nature scenes and a wolf as a friend. Not just any wolf, but behind the scenes, Robert and Renate’s white shepherd Nala, who, from the very beginning of the songwriting, had an uncontrollable urge to sing along.

Therefore, Nala has become the ultimate backing vocalist on this song and the star alongside Kimberley in the accompanying video. Purity, movement, and connection with the earth are beautifully captured by Jay Dee Video. “Run with the Wolves” will be released on 15 January 2026, a third step towards the release of the album “The Force of Nature” in February 2026.

“Run with the Wolves” races between tall trees, dances in the moonlight, and soars across crystal-clear waters in the unique company of a white wolf. The deep connection between human and animal, surrounded by powerful natural forces, is a rhythmic statement from Epinikion that harks back to our human essence: a swirling wind, captivating, powerful, and full of natural beauty.

The album’s production was in the capable hands of Jacob Hansen, who, with his signature mixing and mastering, created a fantastically clear yet beautifully heavy sound. For the artwork, Giannis Nakos created almost magical images that couldn’t have better captured the essence of the album and its songs.

Pre-orders for “The Force of Nature” have now officially started and can be placed via www.epinikion.org.

Tracklist:

  1. The Moon, the Sun and the Stars
  2. The Force of Nature

  7. Don’t Wake Up the Dead

The release of “The Force of Nature” will be celebrated with a fantastic release show on 6 February at pop venue Sound Dog in Breda – the same venue where the first single “The Force of Nature” was filmed. Epinikion is thus entering a completely new phase with an impressive list of 12 new songs that will appeal to both metal fans and mainstream listeners.

Epinikion is known for its energetic shows and strong connection with the audience. Kimberley Jongen impresses with her classically trained, bright voice. Maarten Jungschläger is known for his heavier metal projects, yet also excels as a symphonic metal lead guitarist. Rutger Klijn is a seasoned bassist whose distinctive and technical bass lines firmly establish Epinikion on the metal map. Robert Tangerman not only composes together with keyboardist and partner Renate de Boer, but as rhythm guitarist and arranger, he plays a major role in fine-tuning Renate’s creativity. Michal Gis is the young, talented drummer who brings rhythmically unique contributions and delivers them with precision.

Experts see great potential for Epinikion to grow into a band performing at a highly professional level, gaining more visibility along the way. The joy that drives them only makes the future of Epinikion all the brighter.
