Finnish Mount Palatine sign with Octopus Rising/Argonauta Records!

Finnish heavy psych trio Mount Palatine join the Argonauta Records family, marking a new chapter for the Helsinki-based band. Known for their sprawling jams and immersive sound, the trio blends crushing sludge, hypnotic psychedelia, screamed intensity and ethereal melodies into a style that is both punishing and transcendental. Their sound resonates with fans of Elder, Mastodon, Stoned Jesus and Down while carving an unmistakably unique identity.

The band, formerly The Paladin, released their debut Cockroach Crusade in 2024. Their sophomore album Wormholy World was completed in summer 2025 and will be their first release with Argonauta Records / Octopus Rising. Full album details will be revealed soon.

To celebrate the signing, Mount Palatine unleash their monumental first single “The Sands”, a towering 10-minute opener from Wormholy World.

“The Sands is the opening track of Wormholy World and also the oldest song on the record, conceived even before our debut was complete. It is one of our most ambitious creations, a dynamic piece that rises and falls like mountains of sand, saturated with mystery.
