News

Here we go: as you might know already GRIMM Gent is here to serve and here is yet another little piece you might want to keep your eyes on…

You might have caught a news update here and there on other webzines about a band releasing an alcoholic beverage with their name on it. Cool funny good-to-know fact, but nothing really more happens afterwards, right? As people who occasionally like an alcoholic consumption – and we guess most of you do too! – we were interested to find out if these beverages are actually any good!

Because if you come from Belgium like us, any beer is not just a beer. If you just take a nice stout, a saison beer and a fruit beer you can already create our country’s national flag. So let us see if that Amorphis pale ale, Motörhead cider, or Behemoth IPA are really worth the search! You like to sip it more easily with a nice glass of wine? No problem! We will find out if those vintages of Ghost and Fleshgod Apocalypse can compete with a Châteauneuf-du-Pape or if it is just another ‘Chateau Migraine’. And is it really worth paying hard cash for a rare bottle of hard liquor by Marilyn Manson or Rammstein? We will get to the bottom of this investigation (of the bottle)! Are these bands just expanding their commercial activities or is there a real passion behind their investment? Expect besides regular report of our findings also some interesting interviews with the breweries and distilleries that worked together with the bands to learn more about the process.

We make it our mission to find out. So sit back, PICK YOUR POISON, and get to know all you need about your favorite bands’ alcoholic brands. Our new column will appear every 2 weeks on a Monday starting from next week’s February 6th! Enjoy!
