Finnish/Australian collective The Eternal are back with the video single ‘Deathlike Silence’, a track from their upcoming album ‘Skinwalker’ set for release in June via Reigning Phoenix Music!

For those who somehow have missed the news, and are looking for some gloomy music, a new supergroup arose recently with Cemetery Skyline, featuring members of bands like Dark Tranquillity, Insomnium, Amorphis, The Abbey and more! Their first single ‘Violent Storm’ is out via Century Media Records, and catch their very first show at John Smith Rock Festival this summer!

The by Amorphis’ bassist Olli-Pekka newly formed outfit Octoploid is set to release their debut album ‘Beyond The Aeons’ in July via Reigning Phoenix Music! Pre-save their upcoming single set for release in April now!

Tuska unleashed the first batch of bands for the 2024 line-up and it seems they put their chips strongly on modern metal/metalcore with Bring Me The Horizon, Bloodred Hourglass, Bury Tomorrow, Make Them Suffer, Infected Rain and Fixation, proggy music with Opeth, Vola, Voyager and Riverside, and power metal with Alestorm, Angus McSix and Brothers Of Metal. And of course, festival regulars Amorphis and Stam1na belong to the party as well!

Yet another great gig of the Amorphis “Halo Finnish tour” at Tampere’s Pakkahuone last week, in front of an almost full house. An event hosted by TuskaLive.

The second night of John Smith Rock Frozen 2023 was pretty epic with some of the best of the Finnish scene with Red Eleven, Kiuas, Finntroll, Turmion Kätilöt and headliners Amorphis! Throw on top of that the Swedish up-and-comers of Orbit Culture, and you know it was good!

Second day at an exciting edition of Alcatraz we had a very black metal heavy one with Gaerea, Taake and Belphegor, old school punk with The Exploited, gloomy industrial from Godflesh and one of Finland’s favorite bands Amorphis!

Lost Society and Amorphis gave us a little preview last Friday of the upcoming ‘Halo’ European Tour, when they did a show together at Logomo’s Terassikesä in Turku, Finland.

Amorphis came to show why they are one of Finland’s favorites and with them the folk metal legends Eluveitie ripped up the stage at Jäähalli in Helsinki, right after Dark Tranquillity and Nailed To Obscurity warmed up the crowd!

Co-Headliners Eluveitie and Amorphis shared the stage with special guest Dark Tranquillity and warm-up act Nailed to Obscurity on their European tour and we caught them at l’Aéronef in Lille, France!
