Neverskin enters a new era with crushing new single ‘Consumed’

Dutch rising star project Neverskin has released its fourth single, ‘Consumed‘, marking the beginning of what the project describes as a brand-new chapter in its musical journey.

The new track takes a noticeably heavier approach, built around crushing guitar sounds and a newly introduced drop F tuning. The weight of the guitars is contrasted with Neverskin‘s melodic choruses and emotionally charged vocals, creating a sound that aims to balance heaviness with a strong sense of melody.

For the production, Neverskin opted for a modern approach to mixing and mastering while deliberately retaining a raw and organic energy. According to the project, this was an important part of the process in avoiding the overly polished character that can sometimes accompany contemporary productions.

‘Consumed‘ also takes a deliberately personal yet open-ended approach lyrically. While the song originated from an internal and reflective writing process, its lyrics are intentionally metaphorical and open to interpretation. Rather than telling one clearly defined story, the track leaves room for listeners to connect its themes to their own struggles, inner conflicts and experiences of personal transformation.

Neverskin considers ‘Consumed‘ its strongest work to date, with the single serving as the first release in a new series of material and setting the tone for what is to come.

The release is accompanied by an atmospheric visual lyric video on YouTube, while ‘Consumed‘ is available to stream and download through all major digital platforms.
