Pagan black metallers Mara shared first single from upcoming album

Last Thursday, Immortal Frost Productions shared the first single ‘Primordial Son’ by the Swedish Pagan Black Metal band Mara. The song is taken from their upcoming fifth full length album “Sword of Vengeance” which will be released on 27th of June 2025 on CD, Vinyl & Digital format.

In the name of Loki, the Swedish Pagan Black Metal band Mara returns with their 5th Full length album «Sword of Vengeance». Just like their previous albums, the path of Mara is clear since their sound has been developing for a decade now. Straight forward 2nd wave Scandinavian Black Metal entangled in the old lores of Paganism.

On their 5th studio album, Mara presents you 8 new songs. The production is once again raw which is nothing new when you’re used to listening to their older works, however this album delivers a more upfront vocal appearance due to the live studio recording which does creates a more intense listening. The guitars deliver you harsh power chords who simply destroy, combined with some high shrieking melodies on the lead guitar. The drums and bass guitar pound their way throughout the record who support the songwriting in a most excellent manner, where the vocals sound filthy and aggressive as ever before.
