Piołun to release ‘Exolvuntur’ in May; first track ‘Manifest Kresu’ streaming now

Polish black metal outfit Piołun returns with their second full-length album, Exolvuntur, set for release on 22 May 2026 via Malignant Voices

On “Exolvuntur”, Piołun remains deeply inspired by the Scandinavian and Polish black metal scenes of the 90s, while incorporating a refined, contemporary edge. It follows the band’s 2022 debut, “Rzeki Goryczy”.

Stylistically, it is a continuation of the preceding ‘Rzeki Goryczy’; however, it presents black metal that is more dynamic and melodic,” said the band’s founder, Sorh. “The album’s concept revolves around the cycle of life and death, referring to human transience in the face of ruthless nature. ‘Exolvuntur’ is a 37-minute journey where the wildness of traditional black metal intertwines with nostalgia and melancholy. Black metal for black metal fans.

Sorh is widely recognised as XCIII, the guitarist for Blaze of PerditionOremus and Mānbryne. For this new chapter, the production was handled by one of Poland’s premier engineers, Haldor Grunberg, at Satanic Audio

Exolvuntur” will be available in CD, LP, Digital along with T-shirts, and can be pre-ordered via Malignant Voices
