Samurai Pizza Cats share video for ‘Ramen Man’ featuring Babybeard

Metalcore, Modern Metal

And they reached the final chapter: Samurai Pizza Cats are leveling up with the release of their highly anticipated second album “Press Start”, out since last Friday, March 27th, 2026, via Century Media Records. The record delivers 12 tracks of heaviness, humor and infectious hooks, a perfect match for the German Metalcore band whose name nods to a cult anime classic from the 90s. Their new album could not come at a better time with the band celebrating its release with their Samurai Pizza Fest, happening March 28th in Cologne, Germany, as well as them touring with From Fall To Spring across Europe next month. In October, Samurai Pizza Cat will then bring the record to the live stages with their “Press Start European Tour 26”.

Fully embracing their band name, Samurai Pizza Cats are also releasing a brand-new video for the track “Ramen-Man”, fully filmed in Tokyo, Japan. The highly addictive track also features the iconic Japanese trio BABYBEARD and shows exactly the essence of “Press Start” as a record.

Samurai Pizza Cats’ second album “Press Start” follows on their debut record “You’re Hellcome”, originally released in 2023. Prior single released from “Press Start” include  “T-Rex(plosion)”, “Super Zero”,  “Pandastruck”, “Fear No Slice”, and “City of Gold”.

Samurai Pizza Cats from Castrop-Rauxel have long since ceased to be an insider tip since releasing their first self-published songs. Founded in 2021 by Daniel Haniß (Electric Callboy), Sebastian Fischer, and Stefan Buchwald (both formerly of Fall Of Gaia), the band quickly built a loyal fan base thanks to their unique sound and high-energy live performances. Since 2021, Stefan Reufer has been the bassist of the Ruhr area band and a permanent member of Samurai Pizza Cats. At the end of 2025, Robin Kemper joined the band as the new drummer, bringing fresh momentum to the Castrop-Rauxel-based lineup.

Musically, the band moves between metalcore and deathcore with electronic influences, standing out through catchy melodies and powerful guitar riffs. Their songs are characterized by a blend of biting humor and profound themes, which adds an extra humorous touch to their name—an allusion to a cult anime series.

Samurai Pizza Cats are:
Sebastian Fischer – Vocals
Daniel Haniß – Guitar
Stefan Reufer – Bass
Robin Scheer – Drums
