Seattle death metal squad Noroth issues ‘Adorned In Rotting Flesh’ video from upcoming album!

As Seattle death metal trio NOROTH prepares for the June 7th arrival of their Sacrificial Solace full-length through Carbonized Records, a video for “Adorned In Rotting Flesh” has been unveiled.

Forged in the year 2019, NOROTH is focused on making their own trail of stench. Inspired by the sordid sounds of Bolt Thrower, Incantation, and Cianide, their first album, It Dwells Amongst Us, was released on cassette via Caligari Records at the dawn of the global pandemic. Morbid Chapel Records and Rotted Life soon followed, issuing it on vinyl and CD respectively.

It Dwells Amongst Us was immediately succeeded by their more experimental Harbinger full-length, released via Rotted Life and Life After Death. The record continued in the spirit of their debut with a subtle classic heavy metal feel.

This year’s Sacrificial Solace carries on tradition birthing something yet more intense akin to an orgy of Rottrevore, Grave, and Morbid Angel. Prepare for a new pile of rotting darkness. The addition of drummer Jeremy, who has spent decades serving audio battery in bands like Sanctum and Condition, only adds to the feral nature of their sound. Tracked by Nick Emard at 7 Hills Studio, mixed by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studio, and mastered by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound Studio, the album is completed with artwork by Thomas “Necromaniac” Westphal.

The new single “Adorned In Rotting Flesh” is delivered through a music video created by Biaggo Comeriato.

“Musically, I wanted it to be short and aggressive, but still its own beast. So, I put a groovy Incantation riff and a Bolt Thrower war metal riff in a blender. Lyrically, ‘Adorned In Rotting Flesh’ draws from horrific human exploitation. Living beings are commodified and valued solely for their economic worth, perpetuating suffering as mere instruments of profit.”

In support of the LP, NOROTH will storm through Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, and Victoria on tour with Phrenelith from June 27th through June 30th. Less than a month later, they’ll crush through California with Vile Rites for four shows, hitting San Diego, Long Beach, Atascadero, and Oakland July 19th through 22nd. This Fall, NOROTH and Grave Infestation will tour through Japan, playing five cities from October 27th through November 1st, including Asakusa Deathfest.
