Serpents PL drop new single ‘Painkiller’
Polish post-metalcore five-piece SERPENTS PL return with their second Out Of Line Music single “Painkiller,” out now alongside a lyric visualizer video. The track continues the band’s run of singles leading to their debut album, to be released early 2027.
“Painkiller” explores emotional numbness pushed to its breaking point, the state where the need to feel something overrides the instinct to protect yourself from pain. Lyrically, the track maps the interior of that numbness with unflinching directness – the fog, the cold, the sense of going through the motions behind a mask. The chorus cuts to the core of it: “Drown me down in sorrow / Fill me up with pain / Day by day I’m only waiting for tomorrow / So that I can feel anything.”
“Numbness, indifference, and emotional exhaustion can become their own kind of prison – one where even pain starts to feel better than feeling nothing at all.”
“Painkiller” arrives as the band prepares for their biggest stage yet: SERPENTS PL will play Summer Breeze Open Air on August 13, before heading out on an extensive headline run across Poland in October:
13.08 – Summer Breeze Open Air 2026
02.10 – Szczecin PL – Kosmos
03.10 – Zielona Góra PL – Kawon
09.10 – Lublin PL – Zgrzyt
10.10 – Białystok PL – Sześcian
17.10 – Gdynia PL – Ucho
23.10 – Wrocław PL – Łącznik
24.10 – Rybnik PL – Odyseja
SERPENTS PL are a five-piece from Szczecin, Poland, formed at the close of 2023. Working at the intersection of modern metalcore and alternative metal with a gritty electronic lens, the band built their catalogue through a number of singles before signing to Out Of Line Music – home to Till Lindemann, Abbie Falls, ten56., Bloodred Hourglass and more. Their live reputation was established early: the band toured Poland alongside The Materia before taking on a 23-date European run with Ektomorf in 2024, and opened for Keith Caputo in early 2026. “Painkiller” is their second release through Out Of Line Music and the latest preview of their forthcoming debut album.
