Suotana to release ‘Ounas II’ via Reaper Entertainment and go on our with Wolfheart and Before The Dawn

The journey continues beneath the midnight sun…

Following the triumphant blaze of their 2023 return with Ounas I, Finnish metal force Suotana now descend deeper into their saga with the unveiling of OUNAS II, set for release on August 29th, 2025. Born once more from the frostbitten core of Lapland, this next chapter carries the journey forward—through ancient wilds now drenched in the haunting light of the Arctic summer.

“We present the next chapter of our Ounas saga, ‘Ounas II’. Two years after the release of ’Ounas I’ comes the sequel to the epic journey in the Nordic wilderness, representing Suotana’s natural musical evolution. Simo Räsänen reprised his epic cover art as well; the submerged artwork is a continuation from the previous album cover, forming a united masterpiece. ‘Ounas II’ dives deeper into Finnish nature, illustrating the beauty of the midnight sun in the summer of Lapland”

Ounas II’ is a concept album carrying the listener through the endless light of the boreal summer and beyond, binding ancient Finnish pagan beliefs of nature, history, and preserving Arctic nature’s diversity today.

The artwork, once again created by the phenomenal Simo Räsänen, forms a direct continuation of the Ounas I cover.
