A month after the first-ever Ankea Festival, we sat down with Sami Silvennoinen of Nahka Agency and Ankea Festival to look back at what actually happened once the gates opened.

From the surprisingly smooth festival operation and artists hanging around to watch each other, to the unforgettable moment Sami ended up watching Sylvaine with Bruce Soord, the unexpectedly busy coffee queues, the no-overlap philosophy and the plans already taking shape for 2027 — this is Ankea from the perspective of someone who finally has time to stop and breathe.
