Harbinger announce new single and music video ‘No Vermin’

Deathcore, Metalcore, Modern Metal

UK metal band HARBINGER has shared a new single and music video, No Vermin, ahead of their forthcoming European and UK tour dates in support of Distant and Enterprise Earth alongside The Last Ten Seconds of Life. No Vermin is a standalone track mixed and mastered by Jeff Dunne (Knocked Loose, Make Them Suffer, Chelsea Grin and more), showcasing HARBINGER’s progression since 2022’s A Letter to Anguish EP.

Stream No Vermin via Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, Deezer and Bandcamp

Speaking on the single release, HARBINGER’s Kris Aarre (bass) comments:

“No Vermin is a raw, scathing exploration of corruption, apathy, and the consequences of both. It serves as a wake-up call, demanding the listener to confront the chaos around them rather than seeking solace in ignorance or sedation. The lyrics’ bleak yet thought-provoking tone challenges you to break free from cycles of destruction and actively reclaim integrity and justice, albeit with the acknowledgment that such a path is fraught with pain and sacrifice.’’

Vocalist Dilan Alves continues:

‘“We started work on this song over a year ago, and while being busy touring is what we live for, it can also be a hindrance when it comes to the expansion of our musical catalog.

“With that being said, I feel that our readiness to put this song out to the world came at a time when its meaning resonates the most  –  we’ve just watched the richest conman in the world buy a convicted felon his seat at the helm of the world’s most powerful nation – it seems the elite class’ eagerness to manipulate and exploit the people that look up to them for positive change has never been as clear as it is right now, people’s desperation is growing, and their anger is being purposely misdirected as a means to distract them from who really is destroying their lives.

Through this song I join the choir of people that beg the general public to turn their pitchforks away from their neighbours, and aim them instead at those who oppress them.

“We’re very excited to be playing this song as well as other similarly themed songs on the Origin of Madness tour throughout Europe in the coming February, supporting Distant and Enterprise Earth alongside The Last Ten Seconds of Life.’’

Formed in 2015, HARBINGER has steadily established themselves within the UK’s burgeoning tech-metal scene by combining deathcore brutality with intricate technicality and socially conscious lyricism across two EPs, a full-length and a mini-album.

Further amplifying their presence, HARBINGER’s live performances to date include a headline appearance at UK Tech-Fest, a slot at Bloodstock Open Air and on the main stage at the award winning RADAR festival, as well as UK and European touring alongside Decapitated, Rivers of Nihil, Fallujah, Sylosis, Rings of Saturn and Nekrogoblikon, to name a few.

No Vermin channels HARBINGER’s their anger towards societal injustices, focusing on those who manipulate and exploit others for personal and political gain. Characterised by thick, groove-laden riffs, anthemic chorus melodies and dexterous guitar soloing, No Vermin doles out pertinent real world concerns with raw heaviness. This compelling combination has positioned HARBINGER among the forefront of bands pushing the boundaries of the UK’s underground metal scene.
