Steelfest announces the first confirmed names for 2026

True to its reputation for unrelenting underground extremity, Steelfest Open Air has unveiled the first batch of bands for its 2026 edition and once again, the Finnish festival promises a descent into the deepest, darkest depths of extreme metal May 14th – 16th, 2026. Among the first confirmed acts are cult heavyweights like Revenge, Forteresse, Tormentor, Satanic Warmaster, Deströyer 666, and Inquisition, alongside atmospheric and raw forces such as Akhlys, Ifernach, Warmoon Lord, and White Death.

The announcement also features a mix of seasoned veterans and blazing newcomers, including Morgal, Commander Agares, Cirith Gorgor, Surrender of Divinity, Heinous, Sabathan, Thy Antichrist, and Bezmir. Finnish death metal is represented in full force with Torture Killer, Deathchain, and Autumn Strife, while the blackened undercurrents continue with names like Chamber of Unlight, Concrete Winds, Famulus Ab Satanas, Malignament, Vitsaus, and Hiisi.

Taking place in Hyvinkää, Finland, from May 14-16 2026, Steelfest will confirm itself again as one of Europe’s most unapologetically extreme metal gatherings. Expect more names to be unveiled soon and expect nothing less than chaos.
