Finnish metal merchants Lost Society parts ways with drummer and announces a new one!

Finland, Jyväskylä-based modern heavy metal group Lost Society have gone separate ways with the long-standing drummer Ossi Paananen.

However, this occurrence won’t slow down these musical maniacs, as the band is simultaneously announcing Ossi‘s replacement: from now on, Lost Society‘s line-up is completed by Tapani “Taz” Fagerström.

– After four successful studio albums and hundreds of crazy shows all around the world, our brother Ossi Paananen has chosen to step down from the drum throne of Lost Society and pursue some different paths in life. Over the last ten years, we have achieved incredible things together, and while we are very saddened to see Ossi leaving our “braindead gang”, we fully respect his thoroughly considered decision. Needless to say, but we wish Ossi nothing but the best for his future endeavours, states Lost Society‘s founding member, Samy Elbanna.

Tapani ”Taz” Fagerström – amazing artist and long-term friend of the band – was the first musician coming to Lost Society‘s collective mind when the serious discussion about Ossi Paananen‘s substituent became current.

– Our new studio album “No Absolution” will be unleashed on February 21, 2020, and we are getting our steaming engines ready for the extensive tour. Having said that, we are beyond stoked to welcome Tapani “Taz” Fagerström as the new drummer of Lost Society. Taz has got the talent and the groove and – most importantly – he is an entirely lovely chap, insists Elbanna.

– We have already been rehearsing diligently with Taz, and I simply can’t wait to unleash our insanely energetic live set for our amazing fans all around the globe.

Today, Wednesday 19.02., the band will have a pre-listening party for the album, which gives the fans who are close enough and around Helsinki the chance to listen to the entire album, 2 days prior to release! This gathering with the whole band present in the current line-up, is going down at THE RIFF (Iso Roba 3), starting 18:00 local time!
