Before The Dawn signs to Reaper Entertainment

Reaper Entertainment is proud to welcome Before The Dawn, the Finnish melodic death metal legends, to the label family! The band, led by mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen, has signed a worldwide record deal with Reaper Entertainment.

Tuomas Saukkonen states:

“There is no better way to start the year than announcing the contract with Reaper Entertainment while the ink is still wet! We are extremely excited and looking forward to the awesome things and times as a part of “team Reaper”. And what an elegant and grand way to pass the torch, when our old partners Stay Heavy Records and Reaper join forces to release a limited edition vinyl from our acoustic stream show in 2021!”

Greg Rothermel (Reaper Entertainment) adds:

“This signing is once again the best example of why Flori and I founded REAPER. When we worked at BEFORE THE DAWN’s former label almost 15 years ago, we would have never imagined that we would sign the band to our own label some day! I guess some things are just meant to happen. We are ready to achieve great things together and welcome these amazigly talented guys to REAPER!”

To celebrate this exciting new collaboration, the acoustic album “Darkness Unplugged – Live at TBA Suvilahti” will be released on February 28, 2025 via Stay Heavy Records. Recorded in 2021 with the classic 2005-2011 lineup — Tuomas Saukkonen (Guitar), Lars Eikind (Vocals & Bass), and Juho Räihä (Guitar) — this unique album captures Before The Dawn’s iconic songs in an intimate and reimagined setting.The pre-sale has already begun, and the strictly limited edition of 400 black vinyl copies will be available exclusively in the Reaper Entertainment online shop: www.reaper-entertainment.com
